Biography —
Hi Jayhawks! I am a Licensed Specialist Clinical Social Worker (LSCSW). I first attended Wichita State University for a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology (2012) before graduating from KU’s School of Social Welfare with my Master’s in 2016. Before joining CAPS in the spring of 2025, I spent the majority of my career working in the areas of mental health crisis and with survivors of intimate partner violence, sexual assault, and human trafficking. I have focused much of my continuing education on understanding the effects of trauma and the healing process thereafter. As a clinician, I feel especially passionate about serving survivors of interpersonal violence, queer folks, and those experiencing suicidality and self-harm. Outside of working as a therapist at CAPS, I serve as an adjunct instructor in the KU School of Social Welfare and otherwise spend my free time knitting, spending too much money at The Raven Bookstore, and hanging out with my wife and our household of naughty pets.
