Biography —
I am a Doctoral Intern coming from the University of Indianapolis, where I also received my MA in Clinical Psychology. As part of my training, I have provided therapy to students at Butler University and have spent time assessing ADHD and ASD in children as well as dementia and other cognitive impairments in older adults.
Every person has different values and goals in life, and college is often a time of self-exploration. My work with college students typically focuses on identity formation, using ACT and the Interpersonal Process Approach to help students identify the values meaningful to them and to pursue goals that align with those values. It is also important to me to never stop learning about and listening to the experiences of underserved populations, and to treat all people with dignity and respect.
When I am not at work (and sometimes while I am at work), I love to brew specialty coffee and to try coffee from different farmers and roasters all over the world. I also enjoy photography, both digital and film. I find both activities help me to be mindful and connected with the world around me as I keep my eyes open for scenes to capture and experience coffees from across the world. I am also a huge baseball fan, and enjoy spending time with my dog Harper and my family.
