Elections are an important part of our political process in the US. During these periods we can experience a wide range of emotions from feeling overwhelmed and anxious to excitement about the possibilities for the future. In recognition of these impacts and stressors, we want to share several resources to assist you during the election season.

Resources
Telus Student Support Program
CAPS partners with the Telus Student Support Program to connect students to in the moment support from Masters-level counselors. Students receive the help they need in their own native language (150+ languages supported), whether they are at home, on campus, or abroad. The Student Support app is available 24/7 via phone and live chat.
Post-Election
Our partners in the Health Education Resource Office offer a free stress management coaching program called Daily Life. While not a crisis resource, this is a valuable program for learning how to navigate life during increased times of stress.
The day following the election, Wednesday, Nov. 6, the Center for Service Learning will host a Post-Election Processing and Support Space from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. in Summerfield Hall, Room 201. This program will be split into three hour-long sessions, each focusing on a different component of CSL's post-election resources,including mental health and wellness.
Crisis Support
If you or someone you know is in crisis or has urgent needs, help is available 24/7. During CAPS business hours, drop-in appointments are available by coming into CAPS and letting the front desk know that you need an urgent appointment. CAPS has put together a Crisis Support Resource guide.
