Stefany Ortiz, LMSW

Hello. I am a Licensed Master’s Social Worker. I graduated from Wichita State University in 2020 with my bachelor’s degree in social work, followed by the completion of my master’s degree in social work from the University of Kansas in 2021. During my time as a practicum student, I work in sexual trauma providing crisis response and educational workshops in the Sedgwick County Area. I completed my master’s practicum in a community health clinic in Wichita, KS. During my time there, I focused on providing therapy, anger management treatment, and assisted in Psychiatric care and follow up of treatment resistant patients.  In the past few years in the field, my work focus has been with survivors of sexual and domestic violence. My goal as a clinician has been to provide client-led, trauma-informed and judgment-free care.

My clinical interests are trauma, anxiety, depression, adjustment disorders, and neurodivergence. My areas of specific training are: Eye Motion Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT),  Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Solution Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), Mindfulness practices and Play Therapy with specializations in trauma and abuse. My goal as a clinician is to create a safe space for processing and helping you overcome the unique challenges you may face.
