Biography

Welcome! I am Ailee, a Licensed Specialist Clinical Social Worker, with a master's degree from the Brown School at Washington University in St. Louis. My therapeutic approach, rooted in my journey as an international student and my clinical experience working with clients who have diverse backgrounds, places a strong emphasis on diversity and inclusivity. I also emphasize the strength-based and client-centered approaches in my practice.

My clinical interests encompass adjustment issues, anxiety, depression, trauma and recovery, relational stresses, international students, and culturally sensitive interventions. Theoretically, I am drawn to Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, Attachment Theory, Motivational Interviewing, Trauma-Informed Care, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing, Trauma-sensitive Yoga, and Mindfulness.

In supervision, my aim is to cultivate a supportive and collaborative relationship with supervisees, pursuing reciprocal professional and personal growth. I encourage supervisees to be mindful of their self-identities and how they may impact their understanding of each client's unique circumstances. Additionally, my supervision is intended to assist the supervisees in identifying and developing their strengths in leading the therapy work.
