Welcome to CAPS!

I’ve been with CAPS since 2017. I previously had administrative and clinical roles at the Menninger Clinic and Family Service & Guidance Center in Topeka. I’m a Kansas native and a huge Jayhawk fan. I love working with KU students and view our relationship as a partnership in which you are empowered to make decisions about your treatment. I have a holistic approach to care based on inclusiveness, acceptance and kindness.

Medical School:  University of Health Sciences (1986).

Residency/Fellowship:  Karl Menninger School of Psychiatry and Mental Health Sciences: General Psychiatry (1990), Child & Adolescent Psychiatry (1991).

Certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology: Psychiatry, Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.

Clinical interests:  college mental health, adapting to change/resilience, anxiety, depressive and mood disorders, neurodevelopmental disorders, executive function deficits, trauma.

Theoretical interests:  Integrated/whole person health care.
